Philosophy of Teaching
My philosophy of teaching has evolved over time, and I know that it will continue to do so. This document is represenative of a snapshot in time and will surely change as I continue my pursuits for never-ending self improvement as an educator.
Here are some of the key points:
*The facilitator must assess the needs of the learner and be willing to change accordingly.
*There must be a level of self awareness as well as an awareness of the learners and environment.
*As a facilitator of learning, self improvement must be an ongoing process to not be left behind.
*Facilitators and learners each have responsibilities.
*It is important to assess learning transfer and determine effectiveness so adjustments can be made.
